Dr. Tingey and his team of estheticians are trained to help men and women permanently reduce unwanted hair from their face and body using FDA-approved laser hair removal technology. Ogden Clinic’s GentleMax Pro® integrated laser targets the hair follicle to inhibit hair growth while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. Patients see a dramatic decrease in hair growth in as few as three treatments!

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

Our office in Ogden's Laser hair removal treatments are making strides over traditional hair removal methods such as shaving, waxing, and electrolysis (chemical or heat energy removal.) During laser hair removal, an ultra-concentrated beam of light is targeted into each hair follicle to promote quick elimination from all parts of the body. Laser hair removal at Ogden clinic is safe for fair and dark complexions alike. View our pricing and package options for hair removal areas including:

Laser Hair Removal FAQs

  • Does laser hair removal hurt?

Most patients report minimal discomfort and describe the feeling as a slight sting with each pulse, similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Patients can purchase a topical anesthetic cream from Ogden Clinic and apply it one hour prior to their treatment.

  • How do I prepare for my appointment?

We ask that patients shave the area within 24 hours of their session. Your Ogden Clinic esthetician will apply a cool gel to your skin before your treatment and give you protective eye glasses to wear during treatment.

  • How long does one session take?

The amount of time for each session depends on the size of the area being treated and differs for arm, leg, body and face hair treatments. Most laser hair removal sessions at Ogden Dermatology range from 15 minutes to 60 minutes.

  • Is there any down-time?

You’ll feel some temporary discomfort following laser hair removal, but most patients are able to go back to work and on with their day. You’ll start to notice hair falling out after treatment, which will continue for about three weeks.

  • How soon can I schedule my next appointment?

Your Ogden Clinic esthetician will schedule you no more than six weeks between treatments. Do NOT tweeze or wax skin between sessions. Limit sun exposure for two weeks after treatment and always wear sunscreen when you are exposed to sunlight.
